A thorough Workshop oriented Introduction to Java Programming.

This intensive introduction to Java programming is designed to teach C programmers everything they need to know to get started with Java in the shortest period of time. This course builds off the strengths of C programming, and introduces all the fundamentals of Java, including classes, methods, accessibility, variables and datatypes, inheritance and interfaces, GUI building, event handling, package construction and much more.

This particular class stresses the differences between C and Java, and between procedural and Object-Oriented thinking. The class provides a fast track for C programmers to come up to speed with both Java and Object-Oriented Programming.

To learn to program in Java productivly and professionally.

PRE-REQUISITES

Knowledge of general C programming concepts will be helpful in benefitting from this class. C++ or Object-Oriented knowledge is not a pre-requisite. Programmers with a good programming background in any language, but without C experience, will still be able to benefit substantially from this class.
