MASTERING C++ FAST
This powerful C++ course is expressly for those professional or would-be
professional C programmers who need to learn C++ fast and efficiently.
The course provides an intensive introduction to all the features of C++.
Intended to serve as preparation for the Insight Resource full-week
workshop seminar in C++, this one (or two) day course clearly lays
out the path to C++ mastery.
Subjects covered in this introduction include all the important features of C++:
class design and implementation, inheritance and polymorphism, virtual,
friend, static and const member functions, operator overloading, and
inheritance. By the end of the seminar, students have seen all the major
features of C++. Students will also understand what the growth path toward
mastery of C++ involves. A bibliography of essential sources is included and
discussed.
This course is presented in a two day lecture/workshop format and in a one
day lecture format. Workshops deal with class design and implementation,
inheritance, as well as function and operator overloading. Knowledge of C
fundamentals is strongly recommended, although not required, for complete
understanding of the issues and techniques presented in the one-day lecture
course. Basic knowledge of C is a pre-requisite for the 2 day workshop
course.
o This unique course combines a intensive presentation of the
fundamentals of C++ with an insightful introduction to
Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. The objective is to
give students everything necessary to tackle the task of
mastering C++ and Object-Oriented Programming.
